In the Ermitage chalet, alongside high school pupils, the “collège” interns of Sainte Croix des Neiges get to know each other, learn to live in a community and find a balance between studies, relaxation and leisure.
The building comprises single bedrooms equipped with washbasins, with common sanitary facilities and fireplaces, preserving a private setting in a collective space.
The building has a fitness room, table football, ping-pong table and billiards. A football pitch has just been renovated close to the Ermitage.
The pupils live in a family atmosphere that encourages self-sufficiency to prepare them for life as responsible adults. Our educational professionals are there to listen to the pupils when called upon for their help and experience.
Ongoing pedagogical assistance is provided to all pupils on an individual basis. This is assistance rather than teaching. Handling any problems related to learning requires personal determination, facilitated by the group dynamic.
The environment is ideal for outdoor activities, which are organised on Wednesday afternoon and weekends for the full-time boarders. An even balance between sports and cultural activities helps to keep most pupils happy.
In winter, the Perce-Neige students can enjoy all the opportunities the Abondance valley has to offer to improve their skiing on the numerous slopes of the French-Swiss resorts of Portes du Soleil.
The boarding school timetable is designed to meet the pupils’ physiological needs and facilitate their studies during the school day.
